If you run into an issue or bug in DJ.Studio, please follow these steps to help us diagnose and resolve it quickly:
โ€‹

1. Take a Screenshot

A screenshot helps us see exactly whatโ€™s happening. Please capture the screen at the moment the issue occurs

How to take a screenshot:

  • Windows: Press Windows + Shift + S, then select the area you want to capture. The screenshot will be saved to your clipboard. Paste it (Ctrl + V) into your support message.

  • Mac: Press Command + Shift + 4, then drag to select the area you want to capture. The screenshot will be saved to your desktop.

Attach the screenshot to your message when contacting support.

2. Share a Backup of Your Mix

If your issue is related to a specific mix, sending a backup allows us to test it directly.

Steps to export a mix backup:

  1. Go to Export โ†’ Backup.

  2. This creates a .DJS backup file.

  3. Upload the file using Google Drive, WeTransfer, or Dropbox.

  4. If using Google Drive, make sure to give view access before sharing the link.

3. Share Your Log File

The log file records system activity and errors, helping us pinpoint the problem.

Steps to send your log file:

  1. Reproduce the issue (run into the error again).

  2. Do not restart DJ.Studio!

  3. Go to Help โ†’ Send Log File immediately after the issue happens.

  4. Mention what you were doing when the issue occurred, or reference an ongoing conversation with support.
