What is the FX Pack

Alongside essential DJ effects like Filters, Echo, and Reverb, DJ.Studio now offers the all-new FX Pack—an exciting collection of over 30 effects to add even more energy, width, clarity and creativity to your mixes. Designed specifically for vocals, buildups, and drops this pack includes everything from subtle mastering effects, to bold combinations that bring extra power to your buildups and make your mix standout more.

Each effect is crafted by professional sound engineers who have transformed complex sound design into easily accessible tools, making them simple to use for any DJ. For advanced users, every effect can be fine-tuned manually, giving producers even more control over their sound.

Note: FX and effect blocks are not exported to Ableton for now.

How to add an FX and effect blocks

Effects are now applied to a small Effect block that you move in your track.

  1. Go to the Effects tab > Categories > FX Pack

  2. Select the effect you want to add

  3. Use the XY pad and the Mix slider to try out the effect while playing.

  4. Pause the playhead and click in the XY pad to create an effect block in the track.

  5. Click the dotted line in the Studio to automate the effect parameters (1), and add your own automation points.
Or press 'Record' (2) and move the circle in the XY pad to record your automation.

  6. Shorten or lengthen the effect block by dragging the yellow dots at the beginning and end of an automation.

  7. Move the effect block by grabbing the yellow effect bar and dragging it.

  8. You can add a maximum of 5 effects to one project.

Save Favorites

  1. Right-click on an effect block to save it as a preset.

  2. You can also save a preset by pressing the Presets 'save' button.

  3. Apply it instantly to other tracks with a single click in the presets area.

Layer Multiple Effects

  • You can try out different effects and layer multiple on top of each other to create rich and complex soundscapes.

FX Integration in Transitions

It is now also possible to add these effects in your transitions for smoother and more creative crossovers. Just drag the effects window into a transition or put the playhead in the transition before adding the effect

You can use the new Show Transitions button on the Effects > FX Pack Tab to toggle their visibility for easy management.
