Applies to: DJ.Studio 5.0 and later.
Markers let you mark spots on the Studio timeline that you want to come back to. Think of a transition you still want to fix, a drop you want to check, or a place where you plan to add a sample. You can add a note to each marker and give it a color, and then jump straight to it.
Markers work in both DJ mix and mashup projects.
Turn on markers
Markers are off by default. You need to turn them on in two places:
In Settings: go to Settings > Interface and turn on Enable Markers.
In your project: open the project in the Studio, click the eye icon in the top right corner, and turn on Markers.
If you only do step 1, you can't add markers in your project yet.
Add a marker
Double-click in the timeline where you want the marker, or move the playhead there and press F8.
Type a note, for example "fix this transition".
Pick a color. Use colors to group markers, for example red for things to fix and green for spots you're happy with.
Find and jump to your markers
You can see all the markers in your project in one list. Click a marker in the list to jump to that spot in your mix.
Hide markers
To hide markers in a project, click the eye icon in the top right corner of the Studio and turn off Markers.
To turn off markers completely, go to Settings > Interface and turn off Enable Markers.

Double-clicking the timeline or pressing F8 does nothing
Check that markers are turned on in both places:
