Whenever you make a change to your project, DJ.Studio automatically stores all changes in a temporary file.
This means that you won’t lose much work if DJ.Studio or your PC crashes.
However, you might just want to experiment with a mix and don’t want your original version to be overwritten by your experimentation. That’s why we designed a special saving system, which creates new progressive versions of your mixes with each session.
When you have finished working on your mix, click the ‘Mixes’ button at the top left corner.
How To Save A Mix
To save your mix, click on the project drop-down from the top left corner.
There are two options:
Save - This saves all changes to the mix project. Previous versions are backed up, and you can restore them using the 'Revert To' option
Save as... - This saves the mix to a new, separate project. You can choose the name, and extra information including the genre, artist, and description.
Your projects will be saved to a .DJS project file in the DJ.Studio folder location. These projects can be copied and backed up in other storage, or shared online.
Save As Mashup
In the "Save as..." wizard, you will see the option to save your mix as a Mashup.
This gives you the ability to save a few songs as a pre-edited mashup, so you can quickly import it into other projects.
You can use this to create unique mashups using stem separation and sampling, then save it as a premade mashup track to use in your other projects.
Your saved mashups are located in your DJ.Studio track library.
You can use it to create edited versions of tracks, then import them into other projects.

How Do I Merge Projects? How Can I Combine Projects?
The easiest way to merge edits you've made between two different projects is by using the Save As Mashup feature as explained above. Simply remove any unwanted material from your mix. Then save it as a mashup. This can then be imported into any other mix, and will include all the edits and automation you saved in the mashup version.
