Whenever you make a change to your project, DJ.Studio automatically stores all changes in a temporary file.
This means that you won’t lose much work if DJ.Studio or your PC crashes.
However, you might just want to experiment with a mix and don’t want your original version to be overwritten by your experimentation. That’s why we designed a special saving system, which creates new progressive versions of your mixes with each session.
When you have finished working on your mix, click the Mixes button at the top left corner.
How To Save A Mix
To save your mix, click on the project drop-down from the top left corner.
There are two options:
Save - This saves all changes to the mix project. Previous versions are backed up, and you can restore them using the Revert To option
Save as... - This saves the mix to a new, separate project. You can choose the name, and extra information including the genre, artist, and description.
Your projects will be saved in the DJ.Studio database. If you want to backup your project in other storage, you can choose Export > Backup.
Frequently Asked Questions about saving mixes
How Do I Save My Music?
To save your project, simply click the name in the top corner, and click Save, or Save As...
If you want to save your music as an audio file, you should Export your Mix.
How Do I Merge Projects? How Can I Combine Projects?
It is not possible to merge two DJ mix projects within DJ.Studio. If you made two large DJ mixes that you want to combine together, we advise you to export both mixes as a MP3, WAV or FLAC file and stitch the two files together in another tool like Audacity.
I have saved my mix, but it's not visible on the home screen. What can I do?
If you think your mix is missing, even though it should be saved, you can try the following to retrieve it: go to Home > Your Mixes and double-click Your Mixes in the header.
This will search your database for the missing project's metadata and restore it if it's available.
