DJ.Studio has a unique feature, which lets you create mixes from audio and videos on YouTube and YouTube Music.

There are a few things that work differently with this type of mix compared to working with local files, so make sure you take the time to read this document and understand the differences.

Creating a YouTube Mix

When you create a new mix project, you are shown two options:

These are two types of DJ.Studio projects that work with different inputs.

Local mix works with files from our hard drive, while YouTube mixes work with audio streamed directly from YouTube.

Note, that you can't export downloadable files via YouTube projects due to copyright restrictions, however DJ.STudio gives you the option of creating a shareable link which creates an online, streamable version of your mix to share.

Editing YouTube Mixes

YouTube mixes can be edited in the exact same way as local mixes, and feature all the same tools and functions in the main version of DJ.Studio.

Exporting YouTube Mixes

As mentioned, you can't download your finished YouTube mixes due to copyright restrictions, however, you can still create a shareable link so others can enjoy your mix.

To share your finished YouTube mixes:

  1. Open your YouTube mix project.

  2. Click the Export in the top right corner.

  3. Choose Share.

  4. Fill out the details, including your DJ name, the mix name, and genre type. Check the options as desired. You may want to make your mix public or private, and give other people the ability to remix it.

  5. Click Next, and you will be given a shareable DJ.Studio streaming link.

Send this URL link to your friends, and they will be able to watch and listen to your entire mix from their browser!

FAQs About YouTube Projects

How can I download my YouTube mix?

Due to copyright laws, you cannot download a YouTube mix. However, you can use our online player as outlined above.

OR, you can buy the songs from another source, and remake your mix in Local File mode. This way you can export the finished mix as an audio file.
