If you need to remove swear words from songs, for instance, to create a clean version for radio play, follow these steps. This guide will walk you through splitting the track into instrumental and acapella, editing the acapella, and exporting the final mix.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Split the Track

  1. Right-click on the Track:

    • Open DJ.Studio and load the track you want to edit.

    • In Studio View, Right-click on the track and select the option to "Split into Instrumental and Acapella". This will separate the vocals from the instrumental parts of the track.

Step 2: Edit the Acapella

  1. Extract Vocals:

    • After splitting the track, you will have two separate tracks: one for the instrumental and one for the acapella (vocals).

  2. Remove Bad Words:

    • Select the acapella track.

    • Use the shortcut Cmd-E (Mac) or Ctrl-E (Windows) to cut the acapella at the points where the swear words occur.

    • Replace or silence the sections with the bad words.

Step 3: Export the Mix

  1. Combine Tracks:

    • After editing the acapella, combine the edited acapella track with the instrumental track.

  2. Export:

    • Export the final mix from your audio editing software.

    • Ensure the export settings match your desired output format and quality.
