If you're working with stems and need to adjust their length without affecting corresponding stems in other tracks, here's a straightforward guide to help you:

Adjusting Stems in the Transition View

Currently, there are no specific keyboard shortcuts for this function in the stems view. However, you can achieve the desired adjustments by following these steps:

  1. Shortening or Lengthening the Incoming Track:

    • Location: On the left side of the transition window.

    • Action: Click and drag the beginning of the stem to the desired length. This will allow you to adjust the length of the incoming track.

  2. Shortening or Lengthening the Outgoing Track:

    • Location: On the right side of the transition window.

    • Action: Click and drag the end of the stem. This will let you adjust the start of the transition.

  3. Creating Crossfades or Adjusting Volume:

    • Location: Look for the automation point on the transition window.

    • Action: Click and drag this point to create a crossfade effect or to lower the volume of the stem.

Quick Tips:

  • Click and Drag: Use the click-and-drag method on either side of the transition window to manually adjust stem lengths.

  • Automation Points: Use automation points to fine-tune the transition effects like crossfades or volume adjustments.

By using these methods, you can control each stem individually without affecting the other tracks, ensuring a smooth editing process.
