I bought DJ.Studio. How do I get my activation code?

After you buy DJ.Studio, you will receive an email with your invoice and a separate email with the subject line "Your DJ.Studio activation code" at the email address that you used to purchase DJ.Studio.
Check your spam folder if you can't find it.

I bought DJ.Studio, you charged me, but I didn't receive an activation code

If you didn't receive your DJ.Studio one-time activation code after your purchase, there can be a few reasons:

  • Your purchase wasn't completed. In that case only a reservation was made on your card. To check if it was completed, search your mail account inbox for "Your DJ.Studio invoice". A reservation will revert in 1 ~ 2 hours and be gone from your account. In that case you need to try again to complete the purchase.

  • You misspelled your email address so the email wasn't sent to you. Contact support@dj.studio with as much details as possible so we can lookup your purchase and help you.

  • If you buy your DJ.Studio license from within the DJ.Studio app, you will not receive an activation code. Your license will automatically be activated on the email address that you are currently signed in with at Settings > Account.
You can check at Settings > Billing if you see your paid license shown.

I purchased DJ.Studio, but it's showing me I need to subscribe

If you have purchased/subscribed to DJ.Studio, but you're seeing a message to upgrade when you try to sign in, use stem separation or try to export your mix there can be because you are signed in with the wrong account or your version of DJ>Studio is pretty old.

1. Cannot Sign in because logged in with the wrong account

You are probably logged in to DJ.Studio with an account other than the one you used to buy DJ.Studio. When you log in, you need to use the same email and the same login provider (Google, Apple, Facebook), or a new account is created.

Steps to sign in with the correct account
If you are signed in with the wrong email address, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings > account

2. You will see the email address with which you are currently logged in.

3. Click the sign-out link to the right of your email address

4. Log back into DJ.Studio

5. Choose the login option that you used to buy DJ.Studio. You can check your inboxes and search for DJ.Studio to find which email address you used to buy DJ.Studio.

2. Cannot Sign in because the app is too old

If your app version is older than 3.0.9, you need to update as older versions may fail to recognize your subscription or license correctly.

Steps to update to the latest version

Make sure you're running the latest version of DJ.Studio to avoid compatibility issues. Follow these methods based on your preferred update process:

Option A: In-App Update

  1. Open the existing DJ.Studio app on your device.

  2. Navigate to the settings or update section and follow the prompts to download and install the latest version.

Option B: Manual Update

  1. Visit the official DJ.Studio downloads page at dj.studio/downloads.

  2. Download the most recent version of the app.

  3. Install the new version manually. This process will not affect your database or previously saved projects.

  4. Make sure you sign in with the email address that is connected to your paid license.
