How do I download and install DJ.Studio?
Go to the DJ.Studio download page, and create a free account with Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook or Proton. You don't need to enter any payment details.
Choose the version for your computer: macOS (Apple silicon), macOS (Intel) or Windows.
When the download is finished, double-click the install file.
Follow the instructions of the installer.
Open the installed app. If you like, make a shortcut to DJ.Studio somewhere you can find it easily.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. When you install DJ.Studio, you can try it for one week. The trial gives you limited access to the Pro + Stems version:
Exporting mixes is not included. You can build and listen to your mixes, but you can't export them.
The Ultimate features are not included: the video lane, video export, and VST support.

What is the difference between the two Mac versions?
DJ.Studio has two versions for the Mac:
DJ.Studio for Intel: for Macs with an Intel processor, mostly Macs from before 2021.
DJ.Studio for Apple silicon: for Macs with an Apple silicon chip, the M-series (M1, M2, M3, M4 and later).

You get this message when you try to install the Apple silicon version of DJ.Studio on an Intel Mac. On an Intel Mac, the installation screen looks like the second screenshot below.
Solution: go to the download page and download the Mac Intel version.
Does DJ.Studio have a web version?
DJ.Studio used to have a web version that ran in your browser. It was discontinued in early 2025.
As DJ.Studio grew, more advanced features could only be supported in the desktop app, because of technical limits of software that runs in a browser. Stem separation, effects, the Beatport integration, VST support and video editing could not be fully built into the web version. The gap between the web version and the desktop app became too large, so DJ.Studio now focuses entirely on the desktop app.
How do I install DJ.Studio on a second computer?
Install DJ.Studio on the second computer, and sign in with the same account as on your first computer. Go to Settings > Account to see which email address and which provider (Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook or Proton) you used for your license.
