There are two options for buying DJ.Studio:

  1. Pay a monthly subscription.

  2. Purchase the one-time perpetual license*.

*Includes a perpetual license for 2 machines + 12 months of updates and support. After 12 months, you can pay a renewal for new updates, or continue to use an older version of DJ.Studio.

Is the Purchase a Lifetime License?

You can buy DJ.Studio as a monthly subscription, or as a perpetual license.

A perpetual license will receive updates for 12 months, after, you can pay for a renewal fee, or continue to use the version that you had at the end of the 12 months.

The monthly subscription charges you every month to keep your account active. You won't lose your mixes if you take a break - and you will be able to access everything in your account when you reactivate your subscription

How Many Computers Can I Use DJ.Studio On?

With a perpetual license, you can use DJ.Studio on two machines simultaneously.

Why does the one-time license only includes 1 year of updates and support?

At DJ.Studio, we are committed to providing continuous improvements and reliable support for our users. Unlike some other software companies that bundle all new features into major paid upgrades (e.g., Ableton 11), we release updates regularly throughout the year. With a one-time license, you benefit from 12 months of exciting new features included in your purchase.

For example, last year we introduced major features like stem separation, VST support, improved beat detection, and many smaller updates. All of this was available to our users without any extra costs during their update period. This approach ensures you receive constant improvements and more value over time.

In addition to updates, we also offer dedicated support:

  • Our support team is available 18 hours a day, and most inquiries are answered within a few hours or, at the latest, within 24 hours.

  • We provide detailed video tutorials on YouTube to help you make the most of DJ.Studio’s features.

Maintaining this level of innovation and service requires ongoing investment, which is why updates and support are included for the first 12 months and can be extended afterwards with an optional update package.

If you decide not to purchase updates and support after the first year, no problem! You can continue using the version you have at the end of your update period without any restrictions.

Can I run DJ.Studio on two machines / and 2 machines at the same time?

Yes, you can run DJ.Studio on two machines at the same time.
On your new machine, just download dj.studio ( https://dj.studio/downloads ) and log in with your account.

Your DJ mixes are stored in your /music/dj.studio folder, so if you want to have your mixes on your new machines, you need to copy that folder too.

How Do I Cancel My Subscription?

To cancel your DJ.Studio subscription:

  1. Open the settings menu via the top right cog.

  2. select the Billing tab.

  3. Click on Manage payments

  4. Click on your Subscription, and click Cancel Subscription.

You will be able to use DJ.Studio for the remainder of your paid subscription. After this, your account will be paused, and you will no longer be charged.

How can I cancel my free trial?

The free trial will end automatically and doesn't need to be canceled. If you want to delete your account, you can

  1. Go to settings > account

  2. At the bottom of the screen click the link "click here to delete your account".​

What happens at the end of my trial?

DJ.Studio comes with a 7-day trial which will stop at the end. You then will have the option to purchase a monthly- or a one-off license.
The free trial does not automatically change into a subscription or anything. You didn't enter a payment method either, so no worries.

If I buy DJ.Studio, do I also get a Mixed In Key subscription?

If you buy DJ.Studio, Mixed in Key is not included. DJ.Studio and Mixed in Key are two separate products that you have to buy separately.
If you decide to buy DJ.Studio and you do have Mixed in Key, you can enter your Mixed in Key VIP code in DJ.Studio you get 1 month additional month of updates and support of DJ.Studio for free. Your end-date of the updates&support will be extended automatically.

If I buy the Studio plan, can I upgrade to a higher plan at a later time?

Yes, you can absolutely start with Studio and upgrade to the Pro version of DJ.Studio at a later point. You will only pay the price difference between the two plans.

If I buy the monthly plan, can I cancel it at any time?

Yes, you can cancel at any time, your subscription will be stopped at the end of the subscription period. Monthly payments cannot be refunded.

How to do I apply a discount coupon?

To apply a discount coupon.

  1. Head to the billing page, after selecting the option you wish to purchase.

  2. Click the "apply coupon" button as shown below.

  3. Enter the coupon code into the field, click apply.

  4. You will now see the discount applied to the final cost.

I bought a new machine and can't find my activation code for DJ.Studio . It still works on my old machine. How can I activate it on my new machine?

You don't need an activation code. Simply log in to DJ.Studio on your new machine using the same email address you used on your old machine. You can find that at Settings > Account.

For example, If you used the Apple login button, choose your Apple email address, and your paid account will appear under Settings > Billing.

Can I get a refund?

When you buy a one-time license, DJ,Studio has a 14 day money back guarantee, no questions asked. We do appreciate it that if you run into issue during those 14 days, you can contact us at support, so that we can help to get these questions answered and issues fixed.

How can I apply for an educational discount for DJ.Studio?

If you want to apply for an educational discount for DJ.Studio go to: https://dj.studio/education, where you can apply for the educational discount.

Please email your Name, Email, School, and a copy of your student license to support@dj.studio using the on the webpage.

Your educational status will be approved within 48 hours on working days.

You will receive an email with your personal educational discount code.

How to find my invoices

You can find your invoices, like this:

  1. Go to Settings > Account> Manage payments

  2. Click on your Billing History in the small white screen

  3. Download your invoice
