After the those 12 months, you will not receive any more updates. Only in case of critical bug fixes or security updates, you could receive an update.
You can find your end date of updates and support in the DJ.Studio app at Settings > Billing > Current plan.
The Update Package
If you want to continue receiving updates, you can purchase the Update Package for $49 before your expiry date. This gives you:
One additional year of updates and pro-level support
Access to all releases during that year
After the those 12 months, you will not receive any more updates. Only in case of critical bug fixes or security updates, you could receive an update.
You're also welcome to keep on using the app version which was available on the day of your expiry date without upgrading — that's entirely up to you.
The update package is now available for you to purchase within the DJ.Studio app at Settings > Billing > Update package.
Let’s say you purchased DJ.Studio on March 21, 2025:
You’ll receive all releases that are launched before March 23, 2026. For example that could be DJ.Studio 4.1.15
To access future versions (like for example 4.1.16 and beyond), that will be released after March 22, 2026 you need to purchase the optional update package.
DJ.Studio Update Package pricing
If you buy the update package before your update period expires, the price is $49.
If your update period has already expired, but less than 12 months ago, the price is $69.*
If your update period expired more than 12 months ago, the update package is no longer available and you’ll need to purchase a new license.

* for customers who's expiry date is before March 1, 2026 a grace period applies, so you can buy the update package for $49 till April 3rd.
Frequently asked questions about the update package
Is the update package a subscription?
No, the update package is a one-time purchase, which gives you access to 1 year of additional updates and support. This will not be automatically renewed at the end of that year. You can decide next year if you want to receive more updates.
How do I know what my current end date of updates and support is? When will I not receive updates anymore?
Open the DJ.Studio app, go to Settings > Billing. At the top of the screen you see your current plan, which also shows your current end date of updates and support.
What if I buy the update package 5 months after my current update package ended?
If you purchase your update package 5 months after your current update package ended, you will pay $69 to be up to date again.
Your new update end date will be the purchase date+366 days.
I don't see the option to buy the update package at Settings > Billing
You can only purchase an update package

How do I know when I need to get the update package?
We will inform you via email and in the DJ.Studio app when your update period is about to expire.
If I don't buy the Update package, can I still use the app?
Yes, you are right. If you don’t buy the licensing, you can still use the program because you bought a lifetime membership. It’s just that you won't receive any updates and support anymore.
