Export > DJ Set lets you export your DJ.Studio mix directly to supported DJ applications. DJ.Studio creates a playlist containing your tracks, Hot Cues, and can include trackedits, effects, beat grid and samples.
Currently, DJ.Studio supports exporting to:
rekordbox
Serato DJ Pro
VirtualDJ
djay Pro
Engine DJ and Traktor are to be released in DJ.Studio 5.0
When to use
You can use DJ.Studio to prepare a live set and create a great playlist order for example via Harmonize. You use DJ.Studio to test the combinations you know you want to reach for.
-> You can then export the M3U file and import it in you DJ Software to transfer the playlist order.
BUT.. you can also take it one step further and prepare your live set even further:
play around to find the best mix in points for each transition
edit tracks by shortening them or add loops
add samples
Add effects and EQ automations
make tempo changes
When exporting, you decide which tracks edits you want to have included in the exported tracks.
With this export a new playlist will be created in your live DJ Software. We copy the tracks into this specific set playlist because we don't want to mess up your own hot cues on your tracks. We add the word DJS in the track names, so they are easy to recignize.
After you have played your set, we advise you to delete the full playlist in your music software, so your library doesn't get messed up with these tracks with these hot cues that are specific for this particular set.

Depending on the DJ software you are exporting to and the options you select, you can also include:
Track Edits

BPM Changes
Transition Effects
Effect Blocks
These options allow your exported DJ set to closely match the mix you created in DJ.Studio.
How to export
Finish your mix in DJ.Studio.
Go to Export → DJ Set.
Select your DJ software.
Choose which export options you want to include.
Click Export.
DJ.Studio will automatically:
Create a new playlist in the selected DJ software (where supported).
Copy or render any required audio files.
Add transition Hot Cues.
Render any selected edits, BPM changes, samples, or effects into the exported audio.
Note: If your DJ software is already running during the export, you may need to restart it before the newly exported playlist appears.
Export Options
Track Edits
Track Edits render your timeline edits directly into the exported audio.
Supported edits include:
Cuts
Pastes
Loops
Stem edits
The exported audio always runs from the first beat used in the track to the last beat used.
Samples
Samples can be exported in two different ways.
Bundle with Track
The sample is rendered directly into the track it belongs to.
Choose this option if you want the exported DJ set to sound exactly like your DJ.Studio mix.
Export as Separate Audio Files
Samples can be exported as individual audio files.
This allows you to trigger them independently in supported DJ software during a live performance.
Sample numbering begins after the last regular track.
Example
If your mix contains:
15 tracks
3 samples
The exported files will be:
Track 1–15
Sample 16
Sample 17
Sample 18
BPM Changes
When enabled, tempo changes created in DJ.Studio are rendered into the exported audio.
This preserves the timing and transitions from your original mix.
Transition Effects
Transition Effects can be rendered directly into the exported audio.
Supported effects include:
Equalizer
Audio Effects
Stem Transitions
Effect Blocks
Effect Blocks can also be rendered into the exported audio.
This includes Effect Blocks placed:
Inside transitions
On tracks
On samples
Hot Cue Layout
DJ.Studio automatically places Hot Cues around every transition, allowing you to easily recreate your mix live.
First Track
The first track contains five Hot Cues:

Beatgrid Recommendations
DJ.Studio exports its own beatgrid information whenever supported by the selected DJ software.
For the best results:
Do not re-analyze the BPM or beatgrid after importing.
Disable automatic Hot Cue generation if your DJ software supports it.
Only analyze tracks when waveform generation is required.
Re-analyzing tracks may overwrite the beatgrid and Hot Cues created by DJ.Studio.
