If you bought a DJ.Studio license on our website or on another website, you get a one-time activation code. You enter it once, and your license is then linked to your DJ.Studio account. After that, you never need the code again.

Do I get an activation code?
Yes, if you bought a one-time license on our website or on another website. The code is sent by email to the address you used when you bought it. It is not on your invoice.
No, if you bought DJ.Studio in the app, or bought a monthly plan on our website. Your license is then activated on the account you're signed in with.
Where do I enter my activation code?
You enter the code once. It then links your license to the account you're signed in with: the email address and the sign-in provider (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook or Proton). You can see that account at Settings > Account.
If you're new to DJ.Studio, or still in your free trial
No account yet? Create a free account on the download page, then download and install DJ.Studio. See Log in & Account Management.
Open DJ.Studio and sign in.
Go to Settings > Billing.
Enter your activation code, and click Activate.
If your trial has ended
Open DJ.Studio. On the screen that says your trial has ended, click Enter your activation code at the top, and enter your code.
If you had a monthly plan and bought a one-time license
Email support@dj.studio, and we'll help you switch.
I lost or forgot my activation code
If you already activated your license, you don't need the code anymore. It only works once. Just sign in to DJ.Studio with the account you activated your license on, and your license is there automatically.
If you never entered the code, look for the email with your code in the inbox you used when you bought DJ.Studio (also check your spam folder).
Which account is my license on?
After you activate your license, you get an email with the subject "Your DJ.Studio license is activated". It shows the sign-in provider and the email address your license is on.
Signing in with the same email but a different provider creates a new, empty account. See Log in & Account Management.
How do I use my license on a new computer?
On your old computer, go to Settings > Account, and check which provider (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook or Proton) and which email address you're signed in with.
On your new computer, install DJ.Studio, and sign in with the same provider and the same email address.
Your mixes are not shared between computers. To move them, make a backup on your old computer and restore it on the new one. See Back up, restore and transfer DJ.Studio projects.
