DJ.Studio's AI Beatgrid and Stems feature use separate extensions which need to be installed separately before you can use them.
These extensions can be installed through Settings > Extensions
On some systems DJ.Studio isn't able to install the extensions. Most of the times this is due to blocked network access of DJ.Studio.
Acces needed
The DJ.Studio app needd to be able to reach the following URLs to install the extensions:
https://extensions.dj.studio/* for extension information
(if you open this in the browser it will give a 404, this is expected)https://cf.dj.studio/* for Extension updates and sending over support logs
(if you open this in the browser it will give a 401, this is expected)https://*.r2.cloudflarestorage.com (notice the wildcard!) to download the extensions.
If you are working on a secured network, for example, at work, or have a heavily secured machine, there might be restrictions that block DJ.Studio for using these URLs.
You need to make sure the DJ.Studio app is unblocked for these URLs.
Please note: You might be able to access those URLs from your browser, but that is not enough; the DJ Studio app needs to be unblocked.
Use cases
Issue 1 Extensions screen shows 0 Bytes install size
If the extension screen looks like this, DJ.Studio is unable to get the extension information.
Solution: Unblock https://extensions.dj.studio
Issue 2: Download button doesn't respond
If you see install sizes but nothing happens when you click Download, DJ.Studio cannot download from the storage, or You don't have enough available disk space to download and install the extension.
Solution: Unblock https://*.r2.cloudflarestorage.com
or Free up disk space on your MacOS installation disk or on Windows the disk where your user profile resides (default C:)
Issue 3: AI Beatgrid:currently disabled because of an error during downloading and installing
AI Beatgrid couldn't be installed correctly.
Solution: Uninstall the Core AI and try again to Download/Install the extensions.
Issue 4: All: currently disabled because of an error during downloading and installing
If you see this screen, DJ.Studio was unable to install extensions successfully.
Solution: Try to Uninstall the extension, click Download and restart DJ.Studio after installation finishes.
Help still not success to get this installed!
If you have the same issue again, share your logfile with us after you tried to install. (Don't restart DJ.Studio as this will clear the log!)
From the DJ.Studio menu click on "Help" -> and choose "Send log file", and follow the instructions; make sure to include that you have trouble installing the extension
Issue 5 : Stems or Beat grid doesn't start or work
The extensions' installation is all good, but when I try to use AI Beatgrid or Stems, they don't start or work.
This could be caused by multiple things, a shortlist:
Antivirus programs block the execution of the extension
