This article explains how active devices work, how to view recent devices, and what happens when you exceed the device limit.

You can see and manage your active and recent devices in the app > Settings > Account:

Active Devices

  • DJ.Studio can be used on 2 devices at the same time.

  • If you want to use DJ.Studio on a new device, you’ll need to sign out from one of the currently active devices.

  • You can do this directly inside DJ.Studio under Settings > Account > Active Devices.

There you’ll see a list of your currently active devices. To free up a slot, click Sign out next to the device you no longer use.

Recent Devices

  • DJ.Studio keeps track of up to 5 unique devices that you’ve logged into within a 90-day period.

  • If you hit this limit, you won’t be able to add a new device until one of the older devices falls outside the 90-day window.

  • To avoid hitting this cap, always sign out of devices you no longer use.

You can view your recent device history by clicking Show recent devices under the same Account section in Settings.

What Happens If You Exceed the Limit

When you try to log in on more than 2 devices at the same time, you’ll see a screen like this:

active devices DJ.Studio

This message means you’ve reached the device limit. To continue:

  1. Choose one of the listed devices.

  2. Click Sign out to free up a slot.

  3. After signing out, you can log in on your current device without issues.

Don’t worry—your mixes and library will always remain safe. Signing out only frees up the license slot, it doesn’t delete any of your work.

Tip: If you regularly switch between devices (for example, a desktop and a laptop), make it a habit to sign out of the device you’re not using. This way you’ll always have room to log in where you need it.
