Frequently Asked Questions about Serato

Can I export beat grids or cue points to Serato?

At the moment, DJ.Studio does not have an export option to export beat grids or hot cues to Serato. We have to build that for every software tool separately because there is no universal way to store beat grids in audio files. DJ.Studio already supports exporting Beat grids to Ableton and rekordbox. We are in the process of also building the export of beat grids to Serato.

What should I do if DJ.Studio can't find the Serato library folder?

If you see the message "DJ.Studio could not find your Serato library," please follow the instructions in this guide - Locating Integration Folders

How can I see my cue points from Serato?

You can enable the CUE points in the settings menu:

  1. Go to Settings -> Library

  2. Look for Serato

  3. Enable Cue points

  4. You can also optionally enable Live sync, which will update the CUE points in DJ.Studio, when you change them in Serato.

Can I bring tracks to Serato including the AI beat grid that was created in DJ.Studio?

We have two features for this, depending on what you are looking for:

  1. If you want to export the track with Groove to Serato, you can choose Export > playlist >Serato. Your track will be sent to Serato in a playlist including the beatgrid.

  2. If you want to export the quantized track, a.k.a. where we have removed the groove of the track and made it 4 to the floor:

    1. Open that one track in the DJ mix mode in DJ.Studio

    2. Select the track in the Studio

    3. Go to the Track tab

    4. Check the quantize checkbox

    5. Export the track
